A sunbather from Ocala, Florida, was seriously injured when a Jeep ran over his head and body on Ormond Beach on Saturday (April 5). The incident occurred as a 61-year-old woman attempted to back her vehicle into a parking spot, veering off the travel lanes and onto the sand. Coleson Janey, 33, who was lying face down, was jolted awake by the tire running over him.

Janey suffered multiple injuries, including a broken forearm and femur, requiring a titanium rod in his leg. He described the pain as excruciating, telling WESH, "I was just screaming, screaming my head off, screaming bloody murder." Emergency crews transported him to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. She was cited for careless driving but showed no signs of impairment. The Volusia Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation, and Janey's family is surprised that more severe charges have not been filed yet.

Despite the ordeal, Janey remains optimistic about his recovery, expressing gratitude for surviving the incident. He told the New York Post, "I'm just thankful to be alive and to be able to walk again at some point." He faces a recovery period of three to four months.
