Three people were wounded after an active shooter opened fire in a dorm at Oklahoma State University during homecoming weekend Sunday (October 19) morning, the Oklahoma State Police Department confirmed on its official website.

The shooting was reported at Carreker East residential hall on the Stillwater campus in the early hours of the morning, with at least one of the victims reported to be a student, according to police. The victims attended an off-campus party Saturday (October 18) night that moved into the doors early Sunday morning, which coincided with the school's 'America's Greatest Homecoming' weekend.

No arrests have been made, however, police stated that the suspect is no longer on campus in an update at around 11:28 a.m. local time.

"The OSUPD continues to investigate the incident that occurred this morning. We want to reiterate that this was isolated and the campus is safe," the department wrote on its website. "The suspect is no longer on campus. As the event happened, all parties left campus. Officers were on scene quickly and secured the scene. We are working diligently to bring this to a close with the assistance of Stillwater Police Department and OSBI."

No additional information about the suspect, a potential motive or how many shots were fired was revealed as of Sunday afternoon.
